Swatches : NYX Lip Smacking - Frappucino

Holla all, how's ur holiday going on? mine was so-so, gak kemana-mana karena kurang enak body. Alhasil seharian cuma iseng utak-atik blog header (dan berhasil ganti blog header baru), browsing sana-sini dan rajin posting di forum.

Oiya, untuk temen2 yang merayakan Nyepi, saya ucapkan Met Tahun Baru Saka ya.

Right now, saya lagi gatel banget nih mau nulis first impression about NYX Lip Smacking Fun Colors - Frappucino yang kebeli karena latah pas nemenin temen nyari eyebrow definer.

Berhubung ini adalah produk lippen NYX pertama gw, so im so excited to try it out and tell you all about my impression.

Lippen NYX ada yang matte dan glossy, mine adalah yang glossy. Kemasannya sih simple dengan tube plastic berwarna hitam. Dibagian bawahnya ada space untuk mengetahui warna lippen yang ada didalemnya. So kalo kita punya beberapa lippen NYX, kita bisa dengan gampang ngenalin warnanya tanpa musti buka tutupnya satu-satu.

Teksturnya light dan sedikit oily (namnya juga lippen glossy) dan gw suka how it can moist my lips instantly. Cukup sekali poles, warnanya udah langsung merata di bibir. Dan kalo mau lebih bold, tambahin beberapa poles lagi and whola nice lips!

 

Tapiiiii..staying powernya menyedihkan niih :( i know it karena setelah ngerokok 2 batang dan ngopi, warnanya udah bubar grak ajaa tuh dibibir (padahal belum dicoba pas lagi makan lohh)..well, mungkin karena memang teksturnya yang creamy, makanya dia ga begitu awet, jadi musti tetep rajin2 re-apply.

Kesimpulan gw untuk lippen ini sih tetep suka. Karena warnanya cocok untuk pemakaian sehari-hari, bisa ngelembabin bibir dan cukup handy untuk dibawa2.

Will i want another lippen from NYX? well, perhaps i will try the matte next time :)

Make Up Forever Aqua Cream and Aqua Rouge Lip Color #8 Iconic Red

Akhirnya, gw punya eyeliner warna merah jugaaa....Setelah posting sebelumnya gw cuma berhasil beli eyeshadow merah doank, finally Jumat kemarin pas lagi jalan ma temen2 ke Grand Indonesia, gw iseng-iseng mampir ke counter Make Up Forever, and menemukan si eyeliner cream warna merah yang selama ini gw idam-idamkan.

It was called MUFE Aqua Cream #8, An ultra-pigmented, long-lasting waterproof cream. It combines the highest-quality pigments with mother of pearl particles to give immediate rich color payoff with a luminous finish in just one application. It’s long-lasting formulation will not crease or smudge under the most extreme conditions and its creamy and elastic texture allows for easy blending. 

Aqua cream has a super duper gorjes color that I always wanted all this time, it's super pigmented and can be used for eyes, lip and face too. This is exactly as I needed and I love love love it.

Done bungkus si gel eyeliner, tiba-tiba aja Mba SA nya nawarin gw untuk nyobain lip color terbaru mereka dari seri Aqua Rouge Liquid Lip Color #8 Iconic Red. Hhhmmm...lipstick merah...udah ada 4 biji sih dirumah, tapii, nyoba-nyoba dulu gada salahnya lah yaw (selftalk) And entah karena kesambet setan Mufe atau emang si liquid lip color ini beneran bajuus banget jatuhnya dibibir gw, alhasil..gw beli juga dehh...(bangkruts akuuuh)

Honestly, I've enough of red lipstick at home, but this one is something I can't say NO to. This lipstick has everything a red lipstick-lover ever wanted. Despite it's also the official lip color for Madonna’s highly anticipated MDNA tour, Aqua Rouge #8 also has a classic and universally flattering red that will brighten the entire face. It comes in a sleek, double-ended tube, with one side featuring the opaque, richly pigmented lip color, while the other end features a clear gloss to give the accompanying shade a mirror-like sheen. It doesn't leave any dryness or greasy sensation on your lips, it's super creamy, very moisturizing, it feels so moist and totally live up to their "ultra long- lasting" claim. 

Albeit the price seems a bit off for me (IDR 300rb), but the thought of not having to worry about reapplying every single time makes up for this.

I love my new make-up "toys" and I'm thinking about buying a different shade. Biar murah, keqnya gw mo beli lewat PO aja deeh (hemathemathemat)

Red Lipstick, Anyone?

Setelah terinspiresyong oleh postnya neng arum, akhirnya gw memberanikan diri untuk sok2an ngeripiu tentang red lippen aka Lipstik merah ;)

Hmm..mulai dari mana yaaa? sumpeh gw ga bakat nih nulis review2-an, jadi kalo kalimatnya diulang2 dan amat sangat tidak membantu (udah pasti) mohon dimaafkeun yaa.

Oke kita mulai saja. 

Lipstik merah itu bagaikan cinta dan benci buat gw dan sebagian perempuan2 lain diluar sana. Some women will probably say that they only like to wear nude color or neutral color lipstick for daily use, but I am sure deep down in their hearts, pasti sempet terlintas pemikiran or keinginan untuk nyobain pake lipstik warna merah juga.

Yups, lipstik merah itu daring, super bold, fierce and hot, i mean reaaal hot. It's catches a lot of attention and makes people look at you in an instant. Tapi ternyata karena alesan itulah banyak orang yang jadi enggan pake lipstik warna merah, mereka jadi ndak nyaman karena ngerasa gak pede. Well, ga bisa disalahin juga sih kalo banyak yang berfikir seperti itu karena gw pun pada awalnya ngerasa sama, malu-lah dibilang menor, risih-lah diliatin orang2 dan sejuta alesan lainnya.

Tapiii...itulah serunya pake lipstik merah, sadar ga sadar pakai lipstik merah can help us feel more confidence, more bold and didn't care with what people say. It teach us to behave like it's our own business and to show everyone that we're feel comfortable with what we're wearing and that we're liking it.

Selain alesan2 ga pede, salah dua penyebab orang ragu untuk pake lipstik merah adalah karena mereka belum menemukan which kind of red shade suits them. Beda orang pasti beda kesukaannya juga kan. Gw pribadi lebih seneng yang semi matte dan warna merahnya ga terlalu dark dan gak terlalu terang, sedang2 sajalaah. Emang sih musti trial and error juga, but at the end it's worth the try.

Lipstik merah pertama yang gw punya bukan yang termahal dan bukan yang terkenal. Gw justru jatuh cinta sama lipstik ber-merk gajebo yang tidak sengaja kebeli di mall ambassador. Awalnya sih karena jahil megang2 tuh lippen pas lagi ngantri ATM, trus pas dicobain dan harganya murceh, langsung deh beli.

Soon this lipstick is become my most favorite red lippen by far. Efek merahnya dibibir gw pas, ga terlalu menor tapi tetep kelihatan merah (yaeyalah). It's not too matte and not too glossy either. Tapi namanya juga lippen gajebo, hasilnya yah bikin bibir gw jadi ancur gajebo juga. Setelah make ini seharian, bibir gw langsung ngamuk dan ngelopet (bahasa paan nih) plus sedikit berdarah..horror amet yaak! Tapi namanya juga udah kadung cintaa, gw berusaha cari cara untuk sedikit mengurangi efek destruktifnya dengan pake madu or vaseline petrolleum jelly dulu. Hasilnya, not bad laah, bibir gw jadi jarang ngamuk dan yang pasti gw masih bisa tetep gayaa :D

Ga puas cuma punya satu lippen merah doank, akhirnya gw iseng2 beli lagi 1 lippen merah dari Maybelline. Nah kalo yang ini mah jangan ditanya deh kualitasnya. Dengan harga hampir 2x lipatnya si merk gajebo, gw bisa merasakan betapa smooth dan moistening nya si lippen ini. Selain efek lembabnya yang ajib, gw pun suka sama warna merahnya. It's a glossy chilli red that looks and feels so soooft on my lips. Tapii..ada tapinyaa, ternyata sebesar apapun rasa suka gw ma lipstik ini, pas dipake jatuhnya malah kurang bagus di bibir. Mungkin karena efek glossy-nya yang justru bikin bibir gw yang agak boros dan ber-behel pula ini jadi terkesan heavy dan bimoli (bibir monyong lima senti) -__- So, ujung2nya si Maybelline ini sukses cuma jadi koleksi doank dan dipake hanya untuk unyu2an pas lagi kumat ganjennya ajah :D

Setelah sekian bulan happy2 no worry cuma punya 2 lippen merah, akhirnya kemarin gatel deh nambah satu lagi. This time gw beli Revlon Colorstay Soft & Smooth - Red Velvet

First impressionnya? Love at the first sight. Ditambah lagi si SCnya gembar gembor bilang kalo ini lippen merah laku bener sampe2 testernya aja bisa ilaaang (ga ngaruh yaak). So mumpung diskon, jadilah gw bungkus seharga IDR 60.500.

This new lippen has a completely different shade compare with the other two I had. It's more to a dark-bloody-red kind of red. However, I'm a weeeebit disappointed with its staying power, after few bites of lemper and couples of cigarettes, I could see the color faded. But well, lesson learned, jangan pernah makan lemper pas pake lipstik inih karena dijamin bablas colore :p And as for its "smooth and soft" tagline, believe me, they live up to its name by saying it because it is indeed feels so smooth and soft right after first application.

And at the end, 3 buah lipstik merah pun dirasa masih belum cukup, karena pasti ada salah satu or even 2 lipstik yang someday-maybe-someday akan bener2 jadi my truly red lippen HG. *fingercross

Cosmetic Haul - Revlon Lipstick & Lipgloss

I've never personally been a huge lipstick fan, reason is i feel too much "something something" going on in my face. Sebagai seorang pemakai kacamata yang hampir selalu pake kacamata setiap saat dan setiap hari, gw pasti akan lebih memfokuskan make-up di daerah mata rather than the lips. Thus benda yang biasanya selalu ada in my traincase are eyeliner, eyeshadow and mascara. 

Dan berdasarkan petunjuk artikel kecantikan di majalah yang bilang kalo kita cuma boleh memfokuskan lenongan di satu bagian wajah aja, in this case my eyes, bikin gw makin ga nepsong nyetok lipstik gonjreng banyak2. Dan ujung2nya i only wear a sheer nude colored lipgloss to balance my glitter eyeshadow and thick black eyeliner.

Tapi pas sadar kalo selama ini gw hanya punya 2 lipstik warna merah plus 1 lipgloss yang sepertinya sudah mau expired, akhirnya pas lagi diskon I decided to add another lipstick into my stash *tsah. Nah berhubung eke jarang banget beli lipstick dan tidak punya pemahaman sedikitpun mana lipstick yang paling okeh, akhirnya gw pilih yang paling estede dan paling familiar aja merknya yaitu REVLON.

Selain harganya murmer, pilihan warna2nya juga banyak dan cocok untuk semua warna kulit. Gw pribadi lebih seneng lipstick yang kasi efek semi-matte dan ber-warm undertone. 

First lipstick I chose is Revlon Moisturestay Lipcolor - Malt

This one suits for everyday use, especially when i need to moisturizes my cracked and dry lips and add a little bit color to it. Besides moistening and coloring, it also has a menthol-cooling effect that instantly soothe the lips upon applying. It feels good and I really like it.

Next are Revlon Colorstay Soft & Smooth - Red Velvet and Soft Cinnamon

Honestly, i cannot choose either one, both colors are gorgeous. The red one is definitely a-must-buy red color lipstick that has a very deep, highly pigmented, neutral dark red that can brightens my face, whilst the soft cinnamon, a brownish-red color which can compliments many skin tones is also a must-have color to add into my stash. Both applications was smooth, didn't dry out my lips and it stayed for a very long time. So I decided to bought them all and didn't complaint nor disappointing with it. These are truly my new HG lipstick *for now

Next up is Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss - 040 Nude Lustre

My new nude neutral pink favorite lipgloss, its not sticky and not too watery either. It's perfect to give a bit shine to my matte lipstick or even when i use it alone ;)
